The new collator will run alongside its existing Horizon MC-80. "The level of automation on the VAC means super-fast changeovers and high efficiency, but we kept the MC-80 because there are some more unusual bespoke jobs that are best set-up on a manual machine," said managing director Kevin Logan.

The "confidential" trade finishing firm is also in the process of doubling its floor space in the former shipbuilding district to 1,300m2 by taking on the next door unit. The firm hopes to achieve a 35% increase in turnover over the next year.
