The current chairman, Albert Dass, founded the Hull-based company in November 1975.
“We’ve brought in a new look around our three main services areas of brand management, print, and media represented by the three triangles in the new logo,” explained joint managing director Matt Dass, the son of the founder.
“It’s freshened things up and really communicates the services we offer. Hopefully it sets us up for the next 40 years!” he added.
The company employs 100 staff and has turnover of around £8m.
Dass said the firm had also put in place four “brand pillars”: quality, service, honesty and innovation. “We’ve communicated that internally. Everything feeds off that and it’s what we’re striving for.”
Springfield Solutions is an all-digital business and prints using HP, Screen and Epson equipment. It produces a range of label products including self-adhesive, shrink sleeve and extended content labels.
The firm launched a packaging mock-up service, Mock>it, earlier this year, using its existing print set-up and an Esko cutting table.
In addition, it offers interactive packaging via its SmartPicture print-to-mobile app.
The firm has used the anniversary to look back at its record of innovation over four decades, and Dass said it intended to build on that reputation in future. “We wanted to use this year to remember and reflect on how far we have come, but also to look forward to where we are going and where we want to be,” he said.
