The huge 1,510x2,050mm machine will be the first litho press to be installed at its headquarters, down the road from the NEC in Redditch.
"This investment opens up new and exciting opportunities for SP Group," said joint chief executive Simon Ward (pictured). "It will expand our arsenal of leading edge equipment, allowing us to provide more flexible solutions to our clients."
The firm highlighted the five colour plus aqueous coater and UV curing machine's ability to print onto a wide range of paper, board and plastics.
It will join a fleet of digital and screen printing kit in Redditch, which includes HP Indigo 5000 cut sheet digital colour presses and Inca Columbia wide-format flatbed ink-jet technology.
KBA UK executive sales director Mark Nixon said: "We are delighted to supply the UK's leading PoS company with a press of this size and capacity. This investment indicates that litho is truly operating and succeeding in the traditional screen marketplace."
Although litho is a new addition to its Redditch site, the group has KBA large-format litho at its Burnley site.
