The US-based print manager, which recently licensed the brand of its long-standing client Sotheby's auction house, has set out to create global alliances across its Premier Platform of selected suppliers.
It announced that Heidelberg Speedmasters would be its offset press of choice, while Sappi papers would be used wherever possible.
All suppliers in the Premier Platform will be required to meet the Pantone Certified Printer Program requirements and use X-Rite colour measuring technology, as well as undergoing propriety colour management tests by SI itself from camera capture to proofing and printing.
SI vice president Skip Dyer said the aim of the Premier Platform was to create brand and colour consistency across the globe when the network was initially set up in April. He added: "X-Rite and Pantone is the gold standard for corporate colour standards and colour-measuring equipment.
"Combining the Pantone certification with our own colour management processes ensures unsurpassed brand consistency and quality assurance in print on a global basis."
X-Rite/Pantone vice president of sales Buzz Apostol said he expected a "strong" collaboration with the print manager to support its mission to ensure its worldwide programme offers complete colour consistency.
