The company has also bought a five-colour Roland 200 with Inline Coater, and a two-colour Roland 700 convertible perfector.
Neeraj Dargan, the general manager of Manroland India, said: "Sona Printers is an important order. We are making in-roads in other regions, as well."
He added: "India is a growing market. The print industry is benefiting from industrial developments. Everyday new newspapers are being published in India, which increases the demand for print products and printing presses."
Manroland India managing director Raj Nargis added that the company was pleased with the attention it had been receiving from Indian customers.
