A refurbished Roland 707 LTTLV has gone at the Borkar Packaging’s Goa facility intended to cater for the high-volume requirements of printing folding cartons. Borkar is one of the India’s largest folding carton printers.
The Roland 707 is a seven-colour press equipped with an extended delivery and two coating and drying modules capable of printing a wide variety of coating and special effect applications. The press can create UV gloss effects using conventional inks, by using a combination of primer and UV coatings.
The second press is a brand-new Roland 700 HiPrint at Bhabani Print & Publications, based in Guwahati, Assam. Bhabani is a leading publication and commercial printer in the North Eastern region of India.
The Roland 700 HiPrint at Bhabani is a four-colour sheetfed press equipped with a special size format 3B-plus (780x1050mm), with an additional 40mm of printing area and hence 50% higher productivity in the same print run.
Anil Bhatia, managing director, Manroland India said: "With this development, Manroland strengthens its market share in the commercial printing segment and reinforcing its dominant position in the packaging segment. We have announced our plans for expanding service and spare part support aggressively in the eastern parts of India to be supported by a regional office in Kolkata by next year."
