Solopress: website improvements "under the bonnet"

Solopress has revamped its website to speed up the user experience as well as implementing the latest features for site security.

The Southend-on-Sea fast turnaround online print specialist said that the revamp had “future-proofed” the site in terms of reinforced security measures, in a world where cyber attacks and data breaches are of paramount concern to all online vendors.

A Solopress spokesman said that for obvious reasons precise details were under wraps, but the new site “has the most up-to-date and secure integrations with partners such as PayPal and SagePay”.

Other enhancements include “vastly improved” page loading and product browsing speeds, along with “quicker quotes and faster checkout”.

Dynamic pages deliver the optimal display view regardless of device or screen size, while customers using wider screens benefit from an expanded view that takes advantage of the larger display size.

Solopress managing director Simon Cooper commented: “We wanted to keep the popular aspects of the site that work well for our customers but implement improvements under the bonnet that would make user experience faster and smoother, in particular when it comes to selecting product options.

“This update also presented an opportunity to renew site security and put solopress.com in a robust position to face challenges in the future.”

The revamped site has gone live, with Solopress running a 15% off sale that runs until tomorrow (20 August).

Solopress is owned by Germany’s Onlineprinters. The firm transformed its production setup with the installation of the world’s first HP PageWide T250 HD inkjet web press this time last year.
