Silver Holographic claims to have launched a unique new lenticular software system that allows printers to create 3D or animated 2D images on a PC.
The 3DZ software can create any combination of 3D, flip, animated, morphed or zoomed images, and can also make 3D images out of layered 2D images.
The 30 available frames mean that short video sequences can be created. Maximum image output size is 2.5x2.5m (8x8ft).
The software is easy to use, and the finished product can be printed on anything from a desktop printer to a wide-format ink-jet printer, said technical development manager Phil Burridge.
Its possibilities are limitless because you simply bring the 3D image into Photoshop and add more information.
