MiniStudio 3D, the latest addition to the Israeli company's expanding lenticular portfolio, costs 5,000 and is aimed at the PoS and vending machine markets.
Generating special effects like flip and morph, as well as naturalistic 3D photographs, MiniStudio 3D can create ink-jet output up to A2 size.
"For the price of 1,000 lenses and the software you can create a great marketing campaign," said Tony Newton, sales director of UK distributor NCS, who is hoping that the new lower-priced package will encourage more UK printers to dip their toes in the water.
For another 5,000 it can be upgraded to Studio 3D which has unlimited format sizes. Although UK printers, apart from early adopter Terry Smith Group, have yet to take the software, it's gaining interest.
"3D lenticular printing is seeing huge growth. As far as I am aware Hugo Boss and Smirnoff are both using it in their 2005 campaigns. According to recent research, 3D lenticular images gains five times the attention of a flat image," said Newton.
HumanEyes 3D was also used for a recent promotion of The Incredibles in France.
