Silicon toasts its low-cost online asset system

Silicon Systems claims its new online digital asset management system has more features than systems many times more expensive.

WwWebflow is built on Canto Cumulus and Adobe Acrobat for asset storage and retrieval, online ordering, proofing and file delivery. The software allows clients to remotely approve and amend work in progress, as well as annotate PDF files before sending them for the corrections to take place.

The system starts at £3,995 with Canto Cumulus Server, two Cumulus Network Client Software licences and unlimited web clients. The complete package costs £6,495 with Internet Router and Firewall.

Silicon Systems managing director Robin Horsley said: “It provides more functions than many other systems that cost between £25,000 and £100,000. Printers, publishers and design companies can have an instantly accessible visual reference.”

WwWebflow can be customised to dovetail with a company’s brand and also allows the creation of client-branded sites.

It has been designed to exploit affordable broadband internet connections.
