Screen Europe has celebrated its 50th anniversary at its new headquarters in The Netherlands, where it welcomed colleagues and their families from across Europe, as well as representatives from its parent company in Japan.

Since its inception in 1974, Screen Europe has become a partner for more than 190 printing companies across 40 EMEA countries, with over 250 digital inkjet presses sold, and serving industries from commercial print to packaging and label converters.

“We have come a long way, but our mission stays the same – to improve and advance inkjet printing technology,” said Bui Burke, senior vice president of sales at Screen Europe.

“Together with our colleagues in Japan, we are pushing the boundaries of this complex technology which has earned us a reputation for delivering reliable, cutting-edge inkjet solutions with industry-leading capabilities.”

Screen Europe’s new, larger HQ building at Aalsmeer, near to Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, is a 5,400sqm facility – more than twice the size of Screen’s previous location in Amstelveen, which was its European home for 40 years.

Around a third of the site houses Screen’s Inkjet Innovation Center Europe, including a showroom and inkjet experience centre.

Screen Europe said many team members at the site have been with the business for over 25 years, with this stability helping it to maintain a high level of expertise, while enabling it to build strong, lasting relationships with clients and other printing technology providers – all against a backdrop of industry consolidation and shifting demand.

Yukiyoshi Tanaka, president of Screen Graphic Solutions Co, also commented: “We are immensely proud of how Screen GPEU has grown over the years, continuously reaching new heights since its founding.

“This remarkable journey is a testament to the incredible talent, dedication, and unwavering commitment of all our team – without them, none of this would have been possible.

“Our people have been the driving force behind our success from the very beginning up until today, with their passion and expertise continuing to shape our future. We remain fully committed to supporting them as we look ahead to the next 50 years of innovation, leadership, and printing success together.”

The company further stated that as it moves forward “we will continue focusing on sustainability improvements, integrating new developments in automation, and adapting to evolving regulations and market demands to ensure our solutions meet the requirements of tomorrow”.
