The overprinting specialist has opened the Saffron Walden site near Cambridge in a bid to expand its southern operation and attract new clients to the business.
It aims to establish a team of between 10 and 15 staff at the office.
Edward Welch, sales director at SCR, claimed the move would help the company provide a more personalised, focused service. He said: "It's better to be proactive rather than reactive or you'll reach a plateau in the company's growth."
Welch added: "It gives us a far greater coverage across the UK and offers our customers improved local customer support and back-up for their projects, especially as lead times shorten even more."
The 45-staff company runs its head office and print operations from a 1,300sqm plant in Leeds.
SCR managing director Steve Allott said: "Our new expansion plans have enabled us to achieve a more efficient operational and sales structure.
"Our team at SCR are now able to apply a more concentrated and personal service to clients and their individual needs."
Earlier this year, SCR Envelope Solutions boosted its overprinting capacity with a new Halm EM5000 press.
