"I wouldn't want to overplay the situation," said Scorpio chief executive Ian Whitfield. "TTB is an excellent business that would complement the Scorpio/ Senator businesses, however we are a long way from concluding anything."
Acquisitive Leeds-based Scorpio has made no secret of the fact that it has been looking for an opportunity to give the firm a presence in the South, following its purchase of Midlands-based Senator Print Finishers in November last year.
TTB in Tonbridge, Kent focuses on square-back, PUR and perfect binding, and fold-stitch-trim work. It also has direct mail personalisation, data preparation and one-piece mailer capabilities.
The 5m turnover firm has two factories, totalling 5,000m sq and employs 110 staff.
