Scitex ships super-wide Gojet

Scitex Vision has launched a lower-cost super-wide format press the GOjet. The 3m-wide four-colour machine targets smaller print and sign firms that specialise in outdoor super-wide work.

Capable of producing up to 65m2 per hour at up to 370dpi it will cost around 90,000 ($165,000). European printers will get the first opportunity to see the GOjet at Paris exhibition Viscom Europe in September, although the machine is shipping now.

Incorporating a multi-roll system, the press can print on two rolls at the same time. Substrates supported include canvas, mesh, vinyl, fabrics and paper.

Scitex will also show its XLjet 5+ at Viscom Europe. The eight-colour super-wide format printer can print double sided and is available in three widths two, three and five metres. The XLjet costs between 115,000 and 186,000.
