As well as providing printing services for local businesses, the School Print World brand provides personalised Christmas cards and printed products for hundreds of schools throughout the UK.
Sheffield property law specialist Mason Thomas Law has helped the company to purchase its new circa-200sqm property in the city.
“Following a full refit, we aim to be in the building in March,” said School Print World founder and managing director Steve Durbin.
“We have been trading for 10 years; renting our current premises for nearly seven, building up our customer base and production process. We see the purchase of our own, commercial property as the start of a new, exciting expansion for the business.”
The School Print World brand sees the company, which has three permanent staff, recruit up to 10 seasonal workers each year to manage demand in the run up to Christmas.
Durbin added: “Christmas is a year-round focus for us as more and more schools look to raise vital funds through selling bespoke Christmas cards. We are busier than ever and our new, larger premises on Alderney Road are instrumental in our growth plans for the future which includes us recruiting more permanent members of staff to the team.”
Acting on behalf of School Print World, Mason Thomas Law completed the purchase of the building earlier this month.
“Sheffield has always been at the heart of manufacturing and production and for us to own our own piece of that heritage and secure our place in its future, feels very special,” said Durbin.
Cathy Thomas, director and solicitor of Mason Thomas Law, also commented: “We are always excited to support local business owners to get their feet on the commercial property ladder in Sheffield.”
With a turnover of around £500,000, School Print World operates three Xerox digital printers, including a Versant 280, two Duplo slitter/cutter/creaser machines, and an Ideal guillotine.
