The redundancies account for roughly 10% of its European workforce and Winnets' Bristol site and Seven's Salford base will be closed. Both closures are subject to consultation.
"When you merge two companies there are always going to be overlaps and it is unfortunate for the people involved," said Schawk European managing director Nigel Parsons. "But we live in a competitive world where our clients expect maximum efficiency."
The restructure will result in Winnets' Leeds site becoming European head office. Parsons was previously Winnets group managing director. Both Seven and Winnets will be re-branded as Schawk.
Schawk made its move for the two pre-press firms at the end of last year. The combined turnover of the pre-press firms is around 50m, placing it in the top 30 of PrintWeek's Top 500.
