ScenicSoft set to support JDF via UpFront 1.5

ScenicSoft has announced its first two products to support the Job Definition Format

ScenicSoft has announced its first two products to support the Job Definition Format (JDF).
UpFront 1.5, the latest version of its production planning tool, can now accept JDF files from estimating systems. The latest version of its imposition software, Preps 4.1, can output JDF files.
“As a member of the CIP4 consortium we fully support open solutions and decided to take a leading role in establishing JDF-based imposition,” said ScenicSoft president Erik Smith.
It has also announced new versions of its other software packages, Pandora, TrapWise and ColorCentral.
ColorCentral 4.0 is the latest version of the OPI software, which it bought from Imation.
Pandora 1.2 adds support for CreoScitex’s PCF file format, allowing it to work with the firm’s Brisque Pack workflow.
