Saudi PoS deal for bezier arm

Wakefield-based bezier has won a contract to design and print all point-of-purchase items for a Saudi Arabian supermarket chain.

Watani, which has two 20,000sqm stores in Jeddah and Mecca and plans to open 10 more, has already commissioned bezier's design division, Bluetouch, to rebrand the chain.

Bezier will then produce items for an initial five hypermarkets and hopes to pick up the work for the other five in a deal said to be worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Bezier senior account manager Graham Critchley said it was too early to gauge the final volumes, but said that the firm expected to produce more than 500 PoP items, including departmental, navigational and category signage as well as the pricing system.

He added: "We hope this is the start of a long-term relationship with Watani."
