Ongoing advocacy for print and paper

Sappi Europe joins Intergraf

Sappi: at the table to support Intergraf's valuable work

Sappi Europe has become an associate member of Intergraf and will support a number of the association’s projects.

Intergraf is the European printing industry association and advocates for the industry across 25 countries. The UK’s BPIF is still a member, post-Brexit.

Associate members include a wide range of industry suppliers and manufacturers, with Sappi now joining their ranks.

Sappi Europe head of marketing operations Conor Evers said the Intergraf connection aligned well with Sappi’s ongoing advocacy for print and paper’s unique strengths and championing of sustainability.

“Intergraf represents the European printing industry, from the smallest to the largest players, through the work of the country organisations and federations,” he said.

“It makes sense to be at the table to support this valuable work and share our voice on matters that are a core part of Sappi’s DNA including the future of print as well as sustainability practices.”

Sappi said it would support a number of Intergraf projects including the jobs focused Print Your Future EU programme; and Keep Me Posted EU, which advocates for citizens’ right to choose how they receive important information.

The renewable materials group also plans to contribute to larger advocacy and study projects that benefit the industry.

“From a sustainability standpoint, Intergraf works on industry standards across industrial emissions, packaging and waste, food contact materials and Eco-labels, making Sappi’s membership essential,” the manufacturer added.
