The machinery, which was installed at the Blackburn firm’s purpose-built 465sqm premises last week, cost £38,000. It replaced an old Foldnak 8 with trimmer, which was traded in.
Commercial manager Chris Durham said: “Undoubtedly it will make us more efficient with faster turnaround times, and it’s more automated, allowing for greater capacity.”
The 10-staff £750,000-turnover business also looked at a range of other Morgana devices as well as alternatives from Duplo before coming to its final decision.
Ronset also operates two Konica Minolta bizhub printers, a C8000 and a C7000, an HP FB500 flatbed printer, two HP Latex Z6100s and a Summa F Series flatbed cutter.
The company is currently in negotiations with Konica Minolta to replace its C8000 and C7000 printers with two bizhub Press C1100s. It is also looking to upgrade its HP wide-format kit later in the year.
Ronset was established as a hot metal monotype typesetter in 1961 before moving into phototypesetting and reprographics, and later digital and wide-format printing.
The business produces items including posters, banners, wallpaper, floor graphics, POS and flags for customers including printers, print management companies, advertising agencies and charities.
