Ronset appoints Goodall to help expand wide-format division

Large-format and digital print specialist Ronset has appointed a new sales manager, a move which it hopes will help contribute to a 10% boost in its turnover by the end of this year.

Steve Goodall, who previously worked as a sales manager for 12 years for the Graphic Supply Network (GSN), and most recently was trade sales manager for Skipton-based Eve Products, started in the role on 1 June.

Goodall said: “I’m very excited about it, after four years on the road working for an exhibition manufacturer up and down the M6 it’s nice to be back with a local base. A lot of my contacts are still in Lancashire and I’m looking forward to reigniting those sorts of relationships and serving those people."

Ronset commercial director Chris Durham said: “We’ve known Steve for a good number of years. He’s very experienced, he was looking for a new position as he was travelling all over England and was starting to feel a bit weary. So the opportunity came along and we’ve taken him on.”

Durham said Goodall’s extensive contact list and knowledge of the local wide-format industry could help contribute to a boost in turnover, as Ronset aims for a projected £800,000 by the end of 2016, up from 2015's £720,000 turnover.

Goodall believes this rise in turnover is more than achievable. He said: “The key for Ronset will be to expand its wide-format division really and build that and offer people far greater exhibition and event solutions.

"We do have a wide-format facility but we are somewhat limited as to what we are actually producing and there’s a lot more kit out there that I’ve seen and worked with that we can look at.”

Blackburn-based Ronset deals in both wide-format commissions such as banners and vinyls, and also POS, short-run digital work, such as brochures and business cards.

On the wide-format side, it has an HP Latex 360, installed in January, an HP Latex 260, an HP 6100 and an HP FB500. For short-run digital, it has two Konica Minolta bizhub Press C1085s.

Durham said that although Goodall’s expertise lies in wide-format, he is currently being trained on the short-run digital side.

Ronset employs 10 staff full-time and three part-time. It was founded in 1961 as a typesetting business.
