Swindon-based Romney Packaging hopes to grow its business by 50% after starting a three-year expansion programme.
The firm has just completed a 6m investment, which involved the move to its present 5,100m2 site where it employs 100 staff. It replaces two older sites at Slough and Westmead.
The investment included an eight-colour Fischer and Krecke flexo press worth almost 2m, a nine-colour Rotomec gravure press, and other laminating and slitting equipment.
Romney hopes to increase its 11.4m turnover by developing its customer base. "Looking at recent business trends, year-on-year growth is achievable with our new capacity," said sales director David Peters.
As part of the restructure Romney managing director Mark Ormrod will sell 50% of his shareholding to Italian sister company Neophane Group, which will "create joint opportunities".
Romney would not disclose the value of Ormrods stake. Ormrod is also "taking a percentage in another company", although no further details were disclosed.
