Roland DGA has become the only company that is able to offer Pantone Hexachrome-licensed wide-format printers.
The companys recently-launched Hi-Fi Jet Pro FJ-600 wide-format ink-jet printer has been Pantone Hexachrome-licensed to simulate more than 97% of Pantone Matching System colours.
The same certification has also been given to the accompanying products in the range the FJ-400 and FJ-500.
Pantone president Richard Herbert said that Rolands chromatic pigment inks had enabled it to achieve the standards.
Hexachrome is one of three Pantone global languages for colour specification.
The others are the Pantone Process Color System and the Pantone Matching System.
