Roland DG's new launches delivered to Fespa Digital 2011's key visitors

Roland DG has announced that the Fespa Digital 2011, which coincided with its official release of three brand new products, was a big success.

Ravi Agarwala, director at Apsom Infotex, the Indian representative for Roland DG is excited at the prospect of bringing the new launches to India. He said: "For Roland DG, Fespa was the first opportunity to showcase its newly launched VersaUV LEJ-640. It is Roland DG’s first UV hybrid printer that can print on rigid materials and on rolls."

The LEJ-640 is equipped with a built-in LED lamps which can dry the ink without releasing any heat in the process, allowing it to print even on heat-sensitive materials of up to 13mm thick and 162 cm wide. The LEJ-640 directly prints CMYK, white and clear gloss inks on a wide variety of flexible roll media and rigid substrates up to 13mm in thickness, widely used for decorating trade shows and store displays.

"It was the focus of both Roland DG and the visitors, particularly those from creative agencies working on designs and campaign promotional material," said Agarwala. "It meets a huge demand in the market."

In addition, the BN-20 and the LEF-12 were released on the first day of the exhibition and much attention was paid to these desktop devices.

"In general, the Eco-UV ink and the VersaUV series' ability to print gloss and white received great recognition. The visitors were truly impressed with the possibility of printing layers of clear gloss for special effects such as Braille and also stressed that the combination with high density white enables them to print exceptional text and graphics on a wide range of media," concluded Agarwala.
