Robert Horne in recycling pitch

Robert Horne's Foamalux Xtra, Dibond and Priplak R100 products are now produced from recycled material made with waste collected from its customers.

The Northampton-based paper merchant said it is the first closed-loop production process of its kind in the UK.

Foamalux Xtra, manufactured by Brett Martin, is a rigid, closed cell PVC foamboard that contains around 80-100% post consumer industrial signage waste.

Old foam PVC signs are sent for granulation at a UK recycling centre and then shipped back to Brett Martin to be made into new Foamalux Xtra product.

Dibond is an aluminium composite sheet made by Alcan that is 100% recyclable, while Priplak R100 is made from 100% recycled polypropylene.
