The purchase of Infotec marked a "key milestone" in Ricoh's acquisition strategy, which included Hitachi Printing Solutions in 2004 and Ikon Office Solutions in 2008.
David Mills, chief executive of Ricoh UK, said that the integration had eliminated any duplication of effort across the back-office functions of the two businesses and would, therefore, lead to a more competitive proposition for its customers.
"Harmonising the back-office functions of the two organisations will free up further time for us to focus on the frontline needs and requirements of customers," he said. "It is a hugely competitive marketplace and our customers need us to be responsive and flexible in our approach to service and support if they are to gain a competitive edge."
Current Infotec customers will experience no change in the established channels of communication, as Infotec account managers have been unaffected by the move.
