The Goodhead Group is understood to be restructuring its web operations, to bring them under the control of a single managing director.
Ron England, who is currently managing director at Benham & Co, has been tipped to become managing director for Goodhead Print in Bicester as well.
England was unavailable for comment, as was Goodhead Group managing director John Cooling.
PrintWeeks source said: "Theyre restructuring at the moment and creating a single commercial web division."
However, the role of current Goodhead Print managing director Geoff Hughes in the new structure was unclear as PrintWeek went to press.
Hughes is believed to have played a pivotal role in securing the Exchange & Mart contract for the firm.
The Goodhead Group de-listed from the Stock Exchange last year (PrintWeek, 17 March 2000) after a bid from non-executive chairman John Madejski, which valued the company at 31.3m.
Last year the Group placed a 9m order for a Heidelberg M4000 Sunday press to be installed at Goodhead Prints premises in Bicester.
While in a bid to expand into the heatset colour arena the Group ordered a 64pp MAN Roland Lithoman IV, to be installed at Benham & Cos Colchester plant by July this year.
The Goodhead Group, which was ranked 36 in PrintWeeks Top 500 companies with a turnover of 62.67m, consists of four companies: Goodhead Print, Stones The Printers
in Banbury, Paperback Binders in Abingdon and Benham & Co. The latter was acquired from Rexam in 1997.
