Repropoint launches into multi-channel marketing

Repropoint is aiming to "drive customers to print" with the launch of its new multi-channel marketing service - the latest company to offer multi-channel advertising campaigns alongside print.

The package allows customers to create marketing campaigns that take in personalised digital print collateral in conjunction with web-based promotion and SMS text messages.

Alex North, technical director at Repropoint, said that "customers are often looking for more than print on paper. Digital print technology allows clients to combine personalised print campaigns with e-mail and URL marketing that helps them make the most of their budgets."

He added: "Focused, targeted web-based marketing can drive customers to print not take away them from it. Combining print with other services helps them monitor success rates and improve results.

Feedback to the service has been positive according to Repropoint, which is producing the digital print element of such campaigns on its brace of HP Indigo 5000 presses using personalised software such as Pageflex and HP's Yours Truly.

North said: "Customers are now more aware and ready for using multi-channel campaigns than before. It's definitely a growth area for the company."

Last month, Howitt chief executive announced the launch of the Lateral Group, which he said would fill "a hole in the market for an integrated marketing communications management specialist".

Lateral Group is comprised of direct mail business Howitt, multi-channel management company Dialogue Solutions, database management and analysis firm Data Lateral and email and mobile marketing outfit Shift Click.

The group's expertise spans data analytics, customer profiling and channel optimisation, through to multi-channel output, including web, mobile and print.
