According to managing director Luke Hastings, Optix, which was developed with help from a US-based inventor, has received lots of interest.
He said: "We have talked to film magazines, DVD manufacturers, the packaging industry and the point-of-sale sector. There is scope for markets across the board – in the US, Visa is using it as a security feature. When budgets are back, I think people will buy into it."
Reflections has secured the distribution rights for the UK and Europe, however the US collaborator holds the patent.
"What we have here is something very unique. It will require dedicated attention and won't be going through our normal processes. It will need to be project-managed from start to finish and we would look to be involved at the point of product development," Hastings added.
