The business publisher, whose major titles include Estates Gazette, New Scientist and Computer Weekly, is currently testing the system with four users.
Nick Cripps, RBI group production manager, said that the plan was to roll the system out to the publisher's 13 production staff and 30-strong marketing team by the start of 2006.
Before the Httprint installation, RBI used an in-house system of preferred suppliers before deciding to switch to e-procurement.
Polestar Colchester handles around 85% of production for RBI's 35 magazines, which also include Caterer & Hotelkeeper and Community Care.
Peter Regis, RBI print and distribution director, said: "The opportunity to develop our relationship further is another great benefit."
