Ravensworth Digital eyes 3m turnover with DM expansion

Ravensworth Digital is hoping to achieve a 3m increase in turnover in the next 18 months as the company continues to expand its direct mail arm.

The business, which was bought by Tangent Communications in March last year for £5.85m, has added more than 900sqm to its Cramlington site as part of a £300,000 investment.

The digital printer specialises in carrying out short-run work for more than 3,500 estate agents across the UK.

In addition to producing about 400 Home Information Packs (HIPs) daily, the printer anticipates that several "large direct mail" contract wins will help it grow its £9m turnover in the coming 18 months.

Suzie Pattison, sales director at Ravenscourt Digital, said that, by expanding, "the business can compete for more tenders and big contracts".

She added: "We're securing around 50 new customers each month and by running the latest equipment, we can continue to grow and be flexible."

Ravensworth Digital also expects to grow its staffing setup from 60 to 80, as part of the expansion. The company runs a raft of Xeikon and Xerox kit that includes an iGen3 digital press.
