Managing director Paul Manning said: “We were looking for a web-to-print provider and for a system that was easy to use and intuitive. MegaEdit fit the bill.
“This system is a non-Flash-based, easy-to-use software that will help us move customers away from traditional form-based work.
“We have plugged it into our Tharstern MIS, which will streamline things big time. A lot of companies use to web-to-print but book work in manually after the ordering process.
“But not with this system, which will massively speed up work going to press. It is as much about new as existing business.”
Manning said he envisaged using the software for sectors including estate agency. MegaEdit's variable data capability enabled users to personalise products.
“It is photobook software and is very slick. We can use it with Catfish to form a collaborative approach with Infigo, as software designer, for our customers.
“We had been keeping an eye on the market and came across MegaEdit. Although we have been providing web-to-print for years, it’s never been this good.”
Rapidity, a 33-staff company in central London with a £6m turnover, runs two HP Indigo 7600 machines, a wide-format HP Latex 360 machine and a Xerox Nuvera 288 monopress.
Infigo Software managing director Douglas Gibson said: “We have had great success in the photography and packaging industries.
“Estate agency is another market that could benefit, enabling a booklet of information for each property while allowing a client to make changes quickly and easily, online.
“We believe Catfish can substantially improve the return for printers. One of our client’s digital print services rose by 40% in 2014 and now accounts for 20% of their business. With Catfish this is expected to grow to 35% within two years.”
