"We have always handled stitching in-house but now we will have 50-60% higher productivity and be able to handle sections and more complex stitching," said Rainbow director Darren Roberts.
The firm specified its ST100 with six stations and a cover feeder. "We needed to get books finished faster and more reliably that's why we invested," explained Roberts.
The new stitcher replaced a Horizon flat pile line. "Anyone replacing a collator should consider an ST100 if they are serious about offering high-quality and high-output," said Heidelberg UK business executive for postpress Mark Hogan.
The B2/B3 firm is virtually an all-Heidelberg house. As well as offering CTP it also boasts a Speedmaster SM74 straight five-colour and an SM52 five-colour perfector among its presses.
