The Merthyr Tydfil-based company has installed the presses, which come complete with Prinect Press Center press controls such as Intellistart and Pressroom Manager workflow.
The machines replace the existing five-year-old models after the company secured suitable residual value on its older presses.
According to Darren Roberts, company director at Rainbow Print (Wales), the new machines make the company a more efficient operation.
He said: "We have run SM 74s for the last 12 years and we are very happy with the quality of the machinery.
"We looked at the XL 75 and although they are more efficient, the SM 74 works for us. It gives us the productivity we require. The Intellistart is simply fantastic."
The latest presses complement a Heidelberg Quickmaster press, an ST100 stitching line, and two Polar 78X Plus guillotines, which were installed in 2010, while the company also gets its consumables from the German manufacturer.
"For the last six years we have used Heidelberg consumables and it does make a huge difference. They run well on the equipment, are competitively priced and when we do have a problem there is only one port of call," added Roberts.
