The Bootle-based printer, which will output around 150 Fuji Pro-T processless plates a month on its new platesetter, has bought the device outright, rather than through a consumables contract.
Ian Walker, managing director of Qwikprint, said: "About 80% of our work involves one-off orders and even where there is repeat work, we can clean, gum and store plates to be reused.
"It's the eco friendly choice, using less power than our previous system."
Qwikprint switches to Suprasetter A52 CTP
Qwikprint has switched from a Presstek polyester CTP system to a Heidelberg Suprasetter A52, as a result of its desire to reduce its chemical waste.
