The Q200 has a 2x3.2m table size and a top speed of 600m2/hr. It can print on objects up to 100mm thick.
The circa €260,000 printer can be configured with up to eight colour channels, CMYK plus any combination of white, varnish, spots or lights and is targeted at the industrial market as well as high-end print shops.
Chief executive Lukas Torngren said: “This printer fills many gaps for semi-industrial production. Most standard equipment can print on substrates up to 50mm, but on this kit it’s up to 100mm.
“It targets a small niche market, such as a customer producing large volumes of wooden boxes for liquor, coffee or chocolates, or printing on corrugated material, plastics or Dibond.”
Torngren said the Q200 was pitched against the Canon Océ Arizona 6100 series and he expects to sell around 20 machines in Europe.
The company will also use its Fespa debut to show off the 1.65x 2.55m F160 HS UV flatbed, which can also be configured with up to eight channels and has a top speed of 273m2.
