Pyramid produces 'surf's up' wrapped Spark for Chevrolet

Chevrolet turned to Weybridge, Surrey-based Pyramid Visuals to transform its Spark super-mini into a Woody Wagon for the recent Boardmasters surf festival in Newquay, Cornwall.

Pyramid turned Laika Creative’s concept for the wood-effect panels, that hark back to sixties Californian surfing chic, into artwork and then printed and applied a three-quarters vinyl wrap to the car.

"This is a good example of how we at Pyramid offer a complete visual service from artwork through to fulfilment," said sales director Simon Hughes. "The job was turned around in three days and the client was delighted with the results."

The Spark was delivered off Chevrolet’s production line direct to Pyramid, who printed the graphics onto Avery film using its HP Designjet 9000 printers. After its debut in Newquay the car appeared at the British Touring Car Championship at Snetterton, and its next outing will be at the Paris motor show. It is one of a series of Art Sparks created by Chevrolet Europe.
