Purup-Eskofot will be bundling Agfa plates, chemicals and processors, having signed a letter of intent at Drupa.
The two firms have been in discussion for some time to set up the deal, which will bolster Purup-Eskofots CTP range (PrintWeek, 18 February).
We are proud that Agfa has become our partner in this very important deal, said Purup-Eskofot CEO and president William Schulin-Zeuthen. Agfa is the only manufacturer that could provide a solution for all the imaging technologies we are involved in.
Purup-Eskofot also indicated that the deal could form the basis of further cooperation in the future, although details of any areas it would cover were not revealed. In the past Agfa has been mooted as a potential suitor for the Danish pre-press firm.
