PSP Rare makes time savings following Emagine switch

Customer magazine publisher PSP Rare has said that it has experienced "significant time savings" following its switch to Wyndeham's Emagine online production software.

PSP Rare, which started using Emagine in January when it switched its repro contract to Wyndeham Pre-Press, said that the system had streamlined its entire creation and approval process.

Emma Elmer, production director at PSP Rare, said: "We use the same web approval system, but we'd have to manually create a PDF and then upload it to the right folder, whereas this does everything automatically and instantly.

"It's really streamlined how quickly we can get the page from design up to the web for client and internal approval. For me personally, it probably saves about 20 minutes per page."

The publisher's clients, which include British Heart Foundation, TDA, UKTI and Kia Motors, log into the system via a secure password facility and can then view and approve pages, access digital assets via an integrated photo library, and view instant online versions of their titles, built using the Emag Digital Editions module.

Wyndeham Pre-Press client services director Greg Feltham said: "PSP Rare and its clients benefit from being able to host editorial content online months prior to final PDF creation, which can be easily repurposed for a number of integrated, multi-platform devices."
