POS trade supplier merges

Project Display merges with Ores Display’s UK branch

Dixon: Project Display can now offer a comprehensive solution to its customers

Trade lightbox, display and POS supplier Project Display has signed a merger agreement with display and furniture supplier Ores Display’s UK subsidiary.

Finalised 1 July, the agreement saw Chloe Dixon, Project Display’s managing director, take up a directorate at Ores Display UK in March 2024.

The new arrangement will see Project Display and Ores Display gathered under the umbrella of the newly incorporated Project Display Group, formed on 10 July; though as yet none of the companies’ filings reflect the new arrangement.

Project Display operates over two sites, in Doncaster and Thetford; Ores’ UK branch, which manufactures textile frames and lightboxes near Chelmsford, joins them under the group.

Ores Display, established in 1992, is a leading display manufacturer in the Turkish market, operating from a 12,000sqm site in North-Eastern Turkey.

The merger will effectively help Ores’ access to the UK market by expanding it directly through Project Display’s sales channels; likewise, Project Display’s two sites will benefit from direct links to a significant industry supplier, offering clients a single point of contact for their POS and display requirements.

“Typically what we notice in the display industry is that clients need to engage with three to four suppliers before they are able to complete a project, this includes designers, architects, manufacturers, POS stockists and installers,” Dixon said.

“What Project Display Group will now offer is a comprehensive solution, merging design, prototyping, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and installation services by integrating all solutions [under the group] and streamlining the process through our partnership with Ores.”

No job losses are expected from the merger; with Dixon teling Printweek there would be “more opportunities” for the companies.

“We want to establish ourselves as a leading provider of point of sale, display hardware, furniture and fixtures to the UK market,” she said.

Andy Dixon, Project Display’s production director, added the team was “very excited” about the merger.

“It is a strategic move, that enables us to provide a comprehensive range of services under one roof,” he added.

Umutcan Yurttaguler, managing director of Ores Turkey, said "Since Ores was founded, we never give up on quality, it is our first principle. We stand behind our products and services and use the best materials and latest technology to produce market leading displays."

Project Display Group employs around 15 staff across its three sites, turning over £2m annually, with Ores Turkey employing around 135.
