Haymarket Publishing, PrintWeeks parent, has acquired Druck & Medien Magazin from the Fachschriften-Verlagsgruppe based near Stuttgart.
Nicolas Bogs, managing director of Haymarkets German operation, said the objective of the acquisition was to offer a modern, independent, high-quality magazine for the German printing industry.
Apart from the know-how of the current team, we will be in a position to make use of the experience of our colleagues in London, Bogs added.
PrintWeek editor in chief Jo Francis said the magazine saw a great opportunity in Germany. It is where printing was invented and it remains at the heart of the modern-day industry, she said.
Druck & Medien Magazin is published 18 times a year and has a circulation of 10,702 copies.
Haymarket is the largest private publishing group in the UK and publishes more than 100 business and consumer magazines worldwide.
