Printer quadruples creasing speed with KAS CreaseMatic buy

Ram Print has quadrupled the speed of its creasing and perfing after installing a CreaseMatic Auto 50 high-speed SRA2 card creaser and perforator.

The machine, which is manufactured by KAS Paper Systems, is being used by the Northampton-based printer for its offline digital, litho perfing and creasing work.

Managing director Bob Midmer said: "We can crease or perf at 7000sph for small-format work on the right material, but we tend to slow it down for larger-format jobs and difficult stock."

He said the creaser, which was supplied by Ashgate Automation, represents exceptionally good value for price and performance.

"It will pay for itself in the first year, and because we are no longer putting finishing out it makes us more competitive," Midmer said.
