Print chain Presto Print (PPL) is to trial the PrintCost MIS and may roll it out across its 18 branches.
The software has been installed and a pilot scheme will take place soon at PPLs Basingstoke site, which was chosen as an "all-round branch" containing litho and digital printing and with an experienced manager.
After a two-month trial, the MIS will be implemented at all PPLs 18 branches.
"We were behind the times in producing quotes and invoices," said PPL managing director Chris Spearing.
After carrying out the research, PPL "whittled it down" to four MIS firms and chose PrintCost. One of the features it liked was that when the software design was upgraded the new version could be downloaded from the internet.
Last November, Presto Print decided to rename itself PPL as part of an image revamp. "The response to our new image has been extremely positive," said Spearing.
