The good luck messages, including letters, poems and chants, were written by football fans aged between five and 24 years old.
They were compiled by FA National Games Youth and printed onto the canvas by Print Monkey, which is based in Whitchurch, Shropshire.
The finished flag was presented to the England team at its national training centre at St George’s Park, Burton upon Trent, ahead of its warm-up game against Peru.
“We’ve done a little bit of work for the FA before and it approached us to create this. It was really pleased with the flag, which came out looking great and very crisp,” said print design technician Martin Young.
“It was a fairly straightforward job overall, but setting it up was a challenge as it had so much text on it that was very small.”
The firm, which employs four staff, specialises in printing banners and displays, t-shirts, hoodies and canvases.
