Print manager Principal Color set for liquidation

Print management outfit Principal Color is set for liquidation at the end of this month.

A meeting of creditors has been called for 29 September, at which point Leonard Curtis is expected to be appointed as liquidator.

According to its record at Companies House, the company's director is Peter Stanley.

A statement from Leonard Curtis sent to creditors stated: "The directors of the company, having regarded its financial position, have decided to commence liquidation proceedings."

Principal Color was based at the Paddock Wood, Kent premises of printer Principal Colour. However, the two companies are completely unassociated.

Principal Colour managing director Martin Darby said: "He had an office here. He was originally a sole trader but then set up a limited company. We were amazed that Companies House allowed him to do that given the similarity of the names, but by the time we found out, it had been done."
