The business will relocate 18 miles from its current Poole site to the Dorset Innovation Park as of week commencing 27 January. The company operates a wide range of printing equipment, which director Tim Elliott has invested in over recent years.
A “one man show”, Print in the Bag now boasts a variety of digital print and finishing capabilities while providing further print services through trade accounts. Priding himself on fast turnaround, Elliott has assured local Poole clients that orders are still “just a courier delivery away”.
“I am absolutely buzzing,” he said. “It has been getting too small in the current shop for my plans. By getting that little bit of extra space, I can improve my capabilities, respond quicker and offer more to clients.
“This business park is a very good place to be and, as things get started here, I will be reaching out to the companies of all types that are making their home here in order to make sure I am part of the mix.
“Over the next year, I might look to get a trainee and, once things are fully operational, putting in a mezzanine floor to increase my space even more.”
Dorset Innovation Park is a Government Enterprise Zone, which will provide a variety of benefits to Print in the Bag, including high-speed broadband, as well as business rates relief for development and easier attainment of planning permission for construction.
The new unit covers 70sqm floorspace compared to the previous shop’s 25sqm.
Print in the Bag will run a Roland VersaCamm SP540V print/cut system, an HP DesignJet Z6200 inkjet printer, a Xerox Colour 560 digital printer, a Drytac JetMounter laminator, a Tech-ni-Fold CreaseStream Junior and a Baum folder onsite when it launches at the new unit.
