Progressive Impressions International (PII) used last weeks Print Buyers Forum as a launchpad for its UK operations.
The forum, organised by Forum Events, was held from 5-7 November in Lincolnshire and attracted some 40 buyers from a broad spread of businesses, including financial services, foods, the motor industry, and blue-chip companies.
The event is a mix of networking, workshops and arranged meetings between buyers and suppliers.
"The mix of people was superb, and it went very well the feedback so far has been very good," said event manager Ciaran Pugh.
PII was among the 22 print suppliers in attendance. The firm, which has offices in Tenterden, Kent, specialises in database-driven digital print and is part of American group Taylor Corporation. It has its European production facilities in the Netherlands and runs Xerox 2060s driven by its own database software. It will also be one of the first sites to install a Xerox iGen3.
"You can buy digital print anywhere, and you can buy database management anywhere, but we are selling it as part of a face-to-face marketing project so it will be personalised for the guy who receives it and the person that sends it," said sales director Mark Anthony.
