The C751 joins a stable of Heidelberg products, including two offset presses - a Speedmaster SM52-5 and Printmaster PM52-5 – and a Suprasetter A 75 platesetter.
Owner Paul Massam considered other press manufacturers when planning the investment but said they “didn’t come up to scratch”.
“We liked the quality of work the Linoprint could produce, its flexibility, and we had confidence in Heidelberg as our supplier.”
The new press comes with personalisation software and an envelope feeder.
Maximum run lengths will depend on the type of job, said Massam.
Prestige Sheldon employs six staff and has sales of around £700,000. It serves local and national customers including pub chains.
The company already offers in-house bookletmaking, stitching and cutting and creasing, which will enable it to provide offline finishing for the digital press as well as litho printing.
Heidelberg bills the Ricoh OEM'd Linoprint C751 as its entry-level digital colour press, capable of printing up to 75 A4 pages per minute on media up to 300gsm.
