MacLennan was previously sales and marketing director of Sappi Nash Mills, a UK division of Sappi Fine Paper, and before that was sales and marketing director for the now defunct Sappi Transcript in Scotland.
MacLennan was with ArjoWiggins for 28 years, holding a variety of roles, before he joined Sappi.
He started his career as a commercial management trainee with Arjo Fine Papers, holding various positions in sales, marketing and logistics with Arjo and Wiggins Teape, before becoming regional director of Wiggins Teape, merchanting.
MacLennan is on gardening leave before he takes up his new position.
