The machines have been customised with multiple six-head saddle/gang stitcher and three-knife trimmer and two units of hand-fed stations to meet the specific requirement of ABP.
Shubra Pal, the CEO, Prauto Binda (ABP) said: "The unique configuration of the machines will meet ABP’s ever increasing reader's demand for the Sunday supplement magazine editions of the newspaper, besides weeding out the operational bottlenecks with the huge orders of school text books for the state of West Bengal among others. We have a projection of considerable savings on the production time."

PEW bindery has reported a significant traction with its installed base of more than 200 machines from its product portfolio in India and overseas. "We have delivered and booked orders from the Middle East, Brazil, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Nepal. 25 installations have come in the first quarter of the year 2011 from the exports alone," adds Nath.
In the domestic market PEW bindery has installed bindery equipment for being used exclusively for editions of the Sunday supplement magazine of major newspapers like Sakshi newspapers in Vijaywada; Punjab Kesari, in Jallandhar; Dinamallar in Chennai and Madurai; Dainik Bhaskar in Noida in Delhi NCR; ABP in Kolkata and Tribune Press in Chandigarh.
Apart from the newspaper segment, PEW has installed machines at S Chand, New Delhi; Shakti Press, Nagpur in Maharashtra; International Print-O-Pack, Gopsons Paper, Replika Press and Book Syndicate in Delhi NCR; Gita Press, Gorakhpur and Bhargava Bhushan Press, Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh; Gupta Publications, Indore in Madhya Pradesh; NAP, Sapna Printing Press and Pioneer Paper Products, Kolkata in West Bengal; The Offset Printers, Patna; Yugbodh Digital Offset, Raipur in Chhattisgarh.

New Delhi-based Pramod Engineering Works (PEW), the manufacturer of post-press (binding) equipments has announced the sale of inline Flowline Stitcher and a three-knife trimmer to Kolkata based newspaper publisher Anand Bazar Patrika (ABP).
